Frequently Asked Questions

Ian Cook is an Independent candidate for Mulgrave at the 2026 Victorian state election.

Ian is standing because he is sick of corruption. He will give Mulgrave voters an independent voice focused on making our community safer, improving local infrastructure and roads, supporting better health and education facilities, restoring Springvale police station to 24 hours open and holding the people who make and enforce laws to greater accountability

No. Ian is running as an Independent.

Ian is not controlled by a political party or party room. His decisions will be based on the interests of Mulgrave electorate residents and the issues before Parliament.

Victoria needs a change of Government. That’s why I am running. Centrist parties will be preferenced first. Labor, the Greens and the Socialists will be last.

The Mulgrave District currently includes all or parts of these suburbs:

• Mulgrave
• Wheelers Hill
• Springvale
• Noble Park
• Noble Park North
